No big pop culture discussions or anything like that today, I promise.

Just a quick thank you.

It has been a year since I began Off-Balance, in the spring of 2023.

I wasn’t really sure what I was getting into nor what I was putting into motion: a place for people to read and engage with my work up close. Even though, considering my academic background and professional experience, I’ve been writing, in various capacities, for quite a while now.

In the moment? You can never really predict just how these things are going to shake out.

What started as a small side project has become something else entirely - a community of sorts. One I am very grateful for.

Many of you that are subscribers are those I know personally and if we’ve happened to cross paths, you’ve made a point to highlight just how much you enjoy following along.

I really do appreciate it.

As a writer, as a creative of any kind, your biggest wish is to simply make an impact, regardless of scale - yes, cliché as it sounds, your support matters.

Whether it is something about Spider-Man, Star Wars or my griping about the Maple Leafs.

As I always say, thank you, sincerely, for reading Off-Balance.
