Do you do a Survivor pool each season? I've never gotten into the show but found your review to be an interesting window- the shifting power dynamics, survivalist aesthetic, and game theory makes for a heckuva combo. I prefer some bare bones reality TV (Bravo, HGTV, & others) but could definitely see how when this show hits- it hits hard!
The sheer longevity really is incredible, for sure!
I've never done a pool no but admittedly, I've only really circled back to the show in full force over the past couple years. It was appointment viewing in the house when I was growing up, so after drifting for quite a while, it is nice to come back to it (even if the moment-to-moment fundamentals have undergone some heavy change since the 2000s heyday).
But definitely check it out, if you're feeling curious! At its best, when all those elements come together? There really is nothing like it in the reality space.
I'm almost embarrassed to admit this but I've finally gotten around to Ted Lasso and I'll probably check out Dexter Resurrection against my better judgment (considering how New Blood ended). I've dug into The Romanoffs, as well but with each episode floating around film-length, I'm hoping not to burn myself out too quickly (and of course, as many movies as I can!)
